Monitoring

Track the health and performance of your infrastructure with metrics, uptime checks, and alerts.

SMLL provides built-in monitoring for all your resources. Metrics are collected automatically — no agents to install or configuration needed.

Metrics

Every database and service reports CPU, memory, disk, and network metrics via Prometheus. View pre-built dashboards from your VPC's monitoring page with time ranges from 15 minutes to 30 days.

Database-specific metrics include connection count, pool utilisation, replication lag, and disk usage. Service metrics include HTTP request rate, error rate, and latency percentiles.

Uptime monitoring

For web services, SMLL can continuously check your health endpoint and alert you when your service goes down. Checks run from external monitoring infrastructure, giving you a true outside-in view of availability.

The uptime dashboard shows current status, response times, uptime percentages, and incident history.

Alerting

Define rules that fire when metrics cross thresholds. Every VPC starts with 7 default alerts covering common issues like OOM kills, high CPU, disk usage, replication lag, and connection pool exhaustion.

Notifications are delivered via email or webhook. Webhook payloads are signed with HMAC-SHA256 so you can verify they're genuine.
